Introducing Sanjay Sharma – Vāstu & Vedic Astrology Expert
Driven by curiosity, I spent over twenty years in the Himalayas, only to return transformed and enlightened. This journey was guided by my Gurudev, whose divine lineage extends back more than 500 years to Jagannath Puri.

Rituals were a part of my daily life growing up, but I must admit, I would put my hands together in prayer only because sweets were distributed after the ceremony. As a millennial, I had little interest in ancient traditions like Vāstu and Vedic Astrology. In fact, I never truly believed in astrology.
However, I was always driven by a deep curiosity – the constant ‘Why?’ behind everything. Fascinated by logic, consequences, and the impact of actions, I naturally gravitated towards science, technology, accuracy, and structured processes. This led me to study engineering, and I was all set to begin my career in Mumbai when destiny had other plans.
An unexpected encounter with the stunning accuracy of astrological predictions opened a new window of consciousness for me. Compelled to understand this ancient science deeply, I sought out a guru. My journey took me to the Himalayas, where I became a devoted student of my Gurudev, Pandit Rath, who initiated me into the profound realms of Vedic Astrology, Astronomy, Vāstu, Numerology, Mantras, and Ancient Scriptures.
My Gurudev once told me, “Knowledge is an ocean; start swimming.” These words have guided my life ever since. After spending intense years in the Himalayas, immersed in studying the ancient systems under my Gurudev’s guidance, I set out to share this wisdom with the world.
I moved to Dubai and began working with multinational companies as a project manager, integrating my knowledge of Vāstu and Vedic Astrology into my professional life. Over time, my insights and guidance gained recognition, reaching people from more than 84 nationalities. This journey naturally led me to teaching and mentoring students from over 30 countries, helping them understand and apply these timeless sciences in their lives.
For me, offering astrological guidance and mentoring is deeply therapeutic. It gives me immense satisfaction to empower people, helping them unlock their true potential and live with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

What is the Guru-Shishya Parampara in Vedic Astrology?
Given the growing number of Vedic Astrologers worldwide, it becomes essential to ask an important question – where does their knowledge truly come from? While it is heartening to see this ancient science gaining such popularity today, very few understand the significance of the Guru-Shishya Parampara and its vital role in Vedic Astrology, or Jyotish as it is known in Sanskrit.
Jyotish is not merely a predictive tool; it is an integral part of the Vedas – humanity’s oldest existing scriptures, dating back over 5,000 years. The Vedas are a vast treasury of knowledge designed to uplift both material and spiritual well-being. Vedic Astrology, as a branch of this sacred wisdom, carries deep philosophical, spiritual, and practical truths aimed at guiding humanity towards clarity and conscious living.
Through the Guru-Shishya Parampara, the timeless knowledge and principles of Jyotish were passed down across generations, preserving their purity, depth, and purpose. This distinguished heritage ensured that each disciple received profound insights shaped by the guru’s wisdom and spiritual evolution. My teacher, guide, and mentor, Pandit Sanjay Rath, belongs to a revered 2,500-year-old parampara that traces its roots to Jagannath Puri. Coming from a distinguished family of astrologers from Bira Balabhadrapur Sasan village in Puri, Odisha, Pandit Rath’s lineage goes back to Shri Achyuta Das (Sri Achyutananda) and even further to the great saint Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Under his guidance, I was trained extensively in the Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra (BPHS), Jaimini Upadesa Sutras, Mantra Shastra, Shiva Purana, and multiple other classical texts that form the foundation of Jyotish. He also mentored me in various Vedic Astrology scriptures and sacred literature, including the Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and Puranas, enriching my understanding of life, karma, and the cosmos.
I consider myself blessed to have been associated with my Gurudev for over two decades. It is my honour to serve this lineage by sharing this profound knowledge with others and mentoring PJC courses for students from different countries and nationalities who wish to learn Vedic Astrology online. As my Gurudev always says, “Knowledge is an ocean; keep swimming.”

Ethics are the foundation of my practice. I believe that astrology is a sacred science meant to empower and guide, not to create fear or dependency. Every consultation I offer is rooted in honesty, integrity, and compassion, ensuring that clients receive guidance that uplifts and enlightens them rather than binding them to superstition or blind faith.
I never use astrology as a tool for exploitation. I do not believe in prescribing elaborate rituals or expensive remedies without purpose. My recommendations are practical, logical, and aligned with your real-life situations, ensuring you can apply them with ease and confidence. My focus is to provide clarity that leads to conscious, confident decision-making.
I respect the confidentiality and trust my clients place in me. Each interaction is treated with utmost privacy, and their personal journeys are honoured with dignity. For me, astrology is not merely about predictions – it is about empowering you to understand yourself deeply, make informed choices, and live your life with purpose and positivity.

More than two decades ago, when I began learning astrology, it felt less like a choice I made and more like a path that chose me. Despite the path unfolding before me, my values remained my own guiding force. I have always held close the words of Marcus Aurelius: “If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it.” These words have shaped my approach to life and to this sacred science.
Being a Vedic Astrologer comes with immense responsibility. When you hold someone’s horoscope, you are holding a reflection of their destiny in your hands. There is nothing more profound or humbling than this. It demands that you honour the principle of Dharma and practice truth, integrity, and sincerity in every reading. My understanding of Vedic Astrology, rooted in the teachings of my guru from a distinguished parampara, is based on ancient traditions combined with their practical applications for modern life.
A credible Vedic astrologer does not merely make predictions. They guide, advise, and nurture an individual’s spirit to help it evolve and reach its true potential. When they see challenges in a birth chart, they do not instil fear or hopelessness. Instead, they provide wise counsel, offering clarity and showing the path of positive choices so that free will can work to mitigate karma and shape a more conscious, fulfilling life.
Empathy and compassion towards fellow human beings are fundamental qualities of a conscientious astrologer. Guiding someone with sincerity and integrity is an honourable way to earn a living, just like any other profession done with honesty. It is far more meaningful than making money by exploiting people’s fears or vulnerabilities. For me, astrology has never been about expediency; it has always been about ethics.
This is why I believe in sharing my knowledge freely through mediums like YouTube and my blogs. It is important to enlighten people about the true essence of Vedic Astrology and help them understand its noble intent. Astrology, when taught and practised with purity, empowers individuals to live consciously and harmoniously, rather than becoming bound by superstition or blind belief.
I believe that being a Karma Yogi is the highest pursuit in life. If my guidance helps you realise your goals, hopes, and purpose more clearly, then I have fulfilled my duty towards my 10th House – the House of Work – which is directly connected to Swarga (Heaven). I strive to ensure that every action I take is in harmony with this dharma, serving with sincerity, wisdom, and compassion.
